
Karl Paoletti Jr.
Karl Paoletti Jr. is on the music faculty at Wharton County Junior College
where he teaches voice and directs the vocal ensembles. Karl has a
doctorate in voice performance, and vocal pedagogy from the
University of North Texas. His career includes a wide variety of
professional and collegiate engagements. He has performed with the
East Texas Chamber Music Festival, First Coast Opera in St. Augustine,
Peach State Opera in Atlanta, Columbia Lyric Opera, Daytona Beach
Chorale, Delray Beach Singers, Amarillo Opera, Pensacola Opera, Bay
View Music Festival, Gold Coast Opera, and the Palm Beach Opera.
Some of his favorite roles are Sharpless in Madame Butterly, Dandini
in La Cenerentola, Peter the Father in Hansel and Gretel, Frank in Die
Fledermaus and Germont in La Traviata. He has presented research in
singing voice science in Chicago, Boston, and at the Care of the
Professional Voice Symposium in Philadelphia. Dr. Paoletti has been
playing the piano since middle school and can teach beginners through
advanced. He has over 25 years teaching experience.
