Theresa Nguyen - (Piano)

Theresa Nguyen was born and raised in Houston, Texas.  She grew up playing piano since she was in the first grade and has continued her education in music. She is currently studying music at the University of Houston. Theresa started lessons with Mr. Tom Thompson in 2020 and has participated in many recitals with others at Century Fine Arts and other events, including an Ensemble in Dallas to perform “Zapateado” by Kevin Olson, at the Texas Music Teachers Association State Convention in June of 2022.  Prior to the pandemic, she also won an $800 scholarship at a High School Talent competition. 

Theresa is very active in the Texas Music Teachers Association events, as well as the National Guild of Piano Teachers Auditions and the National Federation of Music Clubs Festival.

As a teacher, she wishes to help others learn that music can benefit every person throughout their lives and encourage them to enjoy playing for themselves and others.
