Ardeen Pierre


Haitian-American soprano, Ardeen Pierre, completed her Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Rice University under the tutelage Dr. Barbara Clark, and her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Sam Houston State University where she studied with Christopher Michel.

At Rice University, Ms. Pierre performed the role of Arminda from Mozart’s La finta giardiniera, and performed in scenes as Micaëla from Bizet’s Carmen, as Bess from Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess, Fiordiligi from Mozart’s Così fan tutte, Magda from Puccini’s La Rondine, Donna Elvira from Mozart’s Don Giovanni. Ms. Pierre recently performed the role of Olivia from Nkeiru Okoye’s Home of My Ancestors with Houston Grand Opera CoOperative (HGOco). In the summer of 2017, Ms. Pierre was a participant with Accademia Vocale Lorenzo Malfatti. She performed the role of Suzel from Mascagni’s L’Amico Fritz. In the summer of 2018, Ms. Pierre performed the role of Contessa Almaviva from Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro in Lucca, Italy with Accademia Europea Dell’Opera.

Ms. Pierre is also a member of the Houston Grand Opera chorus and will be singing in the productions of La Bohème, Florencia en el Amazonas, and The Pearl Fishers.
